Clinical direction at DoctiPlus is guided by Kelly Rhone, MD, who serves as Chief Medical Officer. Her focus sits where medicine and real-world delivery meet: supporting physicians, shaping clinical programs, and making telemedicine work in practice not just on paper. Physician engagement, retention, and education around change management form a core part of her day-to-day work.

Emergency medicine has been at the centre of Dr. Rhone’s career for more than 15 years. That background continues to inform how care is delivered remotely, with an emphasis on speed, clarity, and decision-making at the bedside, regardless of location. Before joining DoctiPlus, leadership experience included serving as Medical Director of eCare Emergency.

Academic involvement remains an active part of her work. Dr. Rhone serves as an Associate Professor at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Medical training was completed at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, followed by emergency medicine residency training at HealthPartners–Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The throughline across clinical care, teaching, and leadership has stayed consistent: removing barriers to high-level emergency and critical care, and making sure geography never dictates the quality of treatment.
